MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, earned him the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017. It was awarded for best Song. In 2017, he dropped ADN The First Long-Player for La Industria Inc. in Medellin. It peaked at 8 places on the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. In 2020 he released the chart-topping sophomore album Dopamina as well as co-produced Mala Influencia alongside Noriel. In 2021, he was in a duo performance with TINI for her hit streaming single Maldita Foto. In 2023, 2000 with the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo is a product of a household of music his mother and older brother have been musicians. Interviews with him have described his involvement in music as mandatory. He learned how to play the saxophone, guitar, ukulele and keyboard as when he was a child. When his original career plan was to be a veterinarian, His brother Julian got him to attend singing lessons with an Cuban instructor. As a result personally discovering his talent in the field of singing changed his entire life.
